An additional 1,000 seats are to be added to the Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which hosts the popular Fantasmic! show.
The Disney Parks Blog revealed that the extra capacity will be added to the venue. Fantasmic! regularly attracts large crowds, with Disney having extended its performance schedule to seven nights a week during peak seasons.
Disney's Hollywood Studios version of Fantasmic! is based on the original at Disneyland, which debuted in 1992. The 26-minute show is "conducted" by Mickey Mouse, and features a range of water and pyrotechnic effects which are synchronised with clips from famous Disney animated movies.
The Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre can accommodate standing guests, as well as those who manage to grab a seat. However, the show's popularity means that arriving early to secure a good viewing spot is still essential.
