Video: Disneyland previews "Glow with the Show" version of Fantasmic!

Disneyland has previewed the new "Glow with the Show" version of Fantasmic! to Annual Passholders, with video footage having been posted online.

The updated show takes advantage of the same technology that has recently been applied to World of Color performances at sister park Disney California Adventure. This enables guests to purchase and wear "Glow with the Show" ears, which then light up in time with key moments during performances.

YouTube user Asianjma123 was on hand at the preview on August 28, and has since posted extensive high-definition footage to the video sharing site. This is embedded below, and gives an impression of the interaction between guests' "Glow with the Show" ears and the standard Fantasmic! performance.

The "Glow with the Show" ears are priced at $25 per pair and are available from a number of retail outlets at the Disneyland Resort. Commands are sent to them via infrared, enabling them to be synchronized with key events to add an extra dimension to in-park shows.

The first public performance of revamped Fantasmic! will take place on August 31, 2012.
