Celebrate the Magic show to debut at Disney's Magic Kingdom in November 2012

Walt Disney World has revealed that it will launch a new nighttime projection show, dubbed "Celebrate the Magic", at the Magic Kingdom in November 2012.

The show will replace the park's existing projection show, "The Magic, The Memories and You", and will be similar in style. However, whereas its predecessor involved photographs of guests at the park being projected onto the iconic castle, "Celebrate the Magic" will replace these with a story-driven set of images and music.

Disney promises that "Celebrate the Magic" will focus on "our emotional connection to some of Disney’s most magical film moments and memorable characters". This is likely to involve a variety of scenes from classic Disney animated movies being projected onto the castle.

The Magic Kingdom's version of "The Magic, The Memories and You" will be performed for the final time on September 3. Disneyland's version of the show will also end its run on the same date, although no replacement has been announced.
