Walt Disney World has announced that the new Be Our Guest restaurant at the Magic Kingdom will begin taking its first reservations on August 20, 2012.

Visitors to the resort will be able to make dinner bookings for November 19 onwards, with previews of the expanded New Fantasyland area that houses the restaurant due to begin on that date. Be Our Guest will open officially alongside several other new attractions on December 6, 2012.

Bookings for the Beauty and the Beast-themed eatery can be made from 7am on August 20 by calling 407-WDW-DINE, for up to 180 days in advance. It will be possible to make online reservations from August 22 via the official Walt Disney World dining website.

Be Our Guest will housed inside a large-scale recreation of the Beast's castle as seen in Beauty and the Beast, one of Disney's enduringly popular animated classics. Disney recently revealed the contents of the restaurant's menu, with quick service dining being offered during the day, and a full table service in the evening. Diners will be spread across the castle's ballroom, gallery and "west wing", all of which are designed to resemble locations seen in the movie.

Be Our Guest will form part of a new area dedicated to Beauty and the Beast, dubbed Belle's Village. This is being added as part of a major overhaul of the Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland, which is due to be completed by 2014.
