The Halloween Horror Nights 2012 events at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Florida will both feature mazes based on Konami's Silent Hill video game series.

Universal confirmed the plans to bring the game to life via the official Halloween Horror Nights Orlando Facebook page. The maze is set to include recreations of a number of iconic locations from the fictional town of Silent Hill, as well as creepy characters that will be familiar to fans of the series.

John Murdy of Universal Studios Hollywood and Jim Timon of Universal Studios Florida discuss the plans for the Silent Hill maze in the video below:

Universal has also released a teaser trailer for the new horror maze, which can be viewed below:

Universal is currently producing a second movie based on the video game franchise, dubbed Silent Hill: Revelation 3-D. The film is due to be released in late October in the US and UK, coinciding with the Halloween Horror Nights events.

During Halloween Horror Nights, areas of Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood are dressed up as "haunted houses" and "scare zones". Fans of the House of Horrors attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood will know what to expect, with real actors mingled in with the guests to create genuinely unpredictable scares.
