Drayton Manor to offer "rainy day guarantee" to select guests throughout summer 2012

Drayton Manor has moved to reassure theme park fans worried by the UK's wet weather, by offering a "rainy day guarantee" throughout the summer 2012 season.

Until October 25, 2012, the park will offer guests a free return trip if it rains continuously for at least one hour during their visit. The offer is only available to those who book advanced purchase tickets online, with guests required to present their ticket at the park's Guest Services department in order to receive the return voucher.

There are two limitations to the offer. Firstly, guests must have booked their tickets via the park's website, call centre or hotel, requiring them to book for a specific day. Secondly, they can only return between September 4 and October 26 - a period during which rain and cooler weather is likely.

Describing the offer, Drayton Manor's managing director Colin Bryan said: "It would be amazing to experience beautiful, sunny weather every day during the summer, but we have to be realistic. There will be days when it will be wet and miserable, which may prevent guests from fully enjoying their day out at the park. This initiative means that if their visit is spoilt by the weather they have the opportunity to return for free on another day, when hopefully the weather will be better."
