Disney has begun taking reservations for the new Carthay Circle Restaurant, which will open on June 15 at Disney California Adventure.
Housed inside a recreation of the Carthay Circle Theatre, the restaurant will form part of the new Buena Vista Street entrance area. The original theatre hosted the premiere of Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937, and the dining location will be designed to place guests into a "post-screening atmosphere".
The Carthay Circle Restaurant's menu will be made up of contemporary Southern California dishes, accompanied by locally-brewed beer and wine. It will be helmed by Chef Andrew Sutton, who also runs the Napa Rose restaurant at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel.
The restaurant's lunch menu will feature a variety of dishes designed to celebrate the cultural diversity of Southern California. The dinner menu will offer heavier meals, along with seasonal desserts. Examples, and images, of these dishes can be found on the Disney Parks Blog.
Reservations for the "premier" dining location can be made now by calling 714-781-DINE between 7am and 9pm, or by emailing email@example.com. The restaurant can hold a total of 256 guests, with 200 indoor seats and 56 on an outdoor terrace.
