LEGOLAND Windsor returned to normal operations on Monday, May 7, 2012, after a power cut forced it to close for the day on May 6.
The park failed to open at all on Sunday, with guests who had pre-booked tickets being given the option to use them at nearby sister park Chessington World of Adventures instead. LEGOLAND Windsor has not revealed the cause of the power cut, blaming circumstances that were "out of its control" for the closure.
The park reopened as normal on Monday, with the power problems having apparently been resolved. A spokesperson said of the previous day's situation: "Apologies to everybody for all the inconvenience caused; we did everything we could to fix the problem, but the issue was out of our control".
Guests who pre-purchased tickets for Sunday, May 6 can swap them for another date for no extra charge, by e-mail [email protected].
