The Merida character from Pixar's Brave has begun meeting-and-greeting guests at Walt Disney World, after making her first appearance at Epcot.
Brave is due to open in cinemas on June 22, 2012, and Disney has opted to start promoting the movie early at its Florida resort. Merida will receive a dedicated meet-and-greet area in the Magic Kingdom in mid-May, but is appearing at Epcot in order to test fans' reactions.
Pixar's latest animated feature will tell the story of Merida, a Scottish archer who rebels against traditional customs and becomes subject to a curse. Boardwalk Empire star Kelly Macdonald will voice the character.
Disney has previously announced that Merida will appear at Highlands-themed area close to the It's a Small World attraction at Disneyland in the run-up to the film's release. The character's permanent meet-and-greet area at the Magic Kingdom will be housed in the Fairytale Garden section of the park.
