Preview performances of Universal's Cinematic Spectacular have begun at Universal Studios Florida, ahead of the show's official debut on May 8, 2012.
The night-time spectacular, which is accompanied by narration from Morgan Freeman, was caught on camera by Orlando Attractions Magazine in the video embedded below. Further previews of the new show are expected to take place at the park in the days leading up to its official opening date.

The new addition is designed to keep guests at Universal Studios Florida later into the evening. It is part of a renewed focus on the park from the Universal Orlando Resort, which has dedicated resources to neighboring Islands of Adventure over the last few years.
A new parade, the Universal Superstar Parade, will also debut at the park on May 8. This will be followed later in the summer by the Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem ride, with work also underway to install a new Harry Potter-themed land on the site of the closed Jaws attraction.
