Busch Gardens Williamsburg has begun test runs of Verbolten, the new multi-launch roller coaster that will open at the park on May 18, 2012.
Verbolten was caught on camera by a visitor to the park on April 21, with footage captured of the ride's trains traversing several sections of its circuit. The trains can be seen racing around several outdoor elements, and being launched into the ride's show building, which will contain a secretive set-piece.
The new coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg will be located in the Germany-themed Oktoberfest area of the park, and features a backstory based around the autobahn (freeway) system. Guests will race off into the mysterious "Black Forest" in vehicles designed to resemble cars, with two launch sections helping them on their way.
Verbolten replaces the former Big Bad Wolf roller coaster, which was removed in 2010.
