Disney has revealed details of the live street entertainment that will feature in the Cars Land area of Disney California Adventure.
Cars Land, which is due to open to the public on June 15, 2012, will be based around a recreation of Route 66 as seen in Pixar's Cars movies. This will play host to two entertainment offerings: Red to the Rescue and DJ's Dance and Drive.
Red to the Rescue will feature Red the Fire Truck, who will travel down Rotue 66 to meet his friend, a "volunteer firefighter". The firefighter will attempt to water flowers in the area using the fire truck, but is likely to end up soaking watching guests.
In DJ's Dance and Drive, party car DJ will drive down the street, with tunes blaring from on-board speakers. A dance crew led by "Spinner" will lead spectators in a series of moves, accompanied by songs such Life in the Fast Lane and Car Wash.
Anchored by $200 million E-Ticket attraction Radiator Springs Racers, Cars Land marks the final phase of a $1.1 billion series of upgrades to Disney California Adventure. The expansion will be home to two other rides, along with a number of dining outlets and retail stores.
