The Disneyland Resort is set to extend its Magic Mornings early-entry system to Disney California Adventure, according to a new report.
MiceAge's Al Lutz claims that the park will open at 7am three days per week from mid-June onwards, exclusively for on-site hotel guests and those with Magic Morning-eligible tickets. In addition, Annual Passholders only will be able to enter the park at 7am on the other four days of the week - the first time such a privilege has been extended to them.
The move to introduce Magic Mornings at Disney California Adventure is designed to alleviate crowds at the park, which are expected to increase significantly following the opening of the Cars Land expansion on June 15. The park's standard opening hours are also expected to be extended, from 8am in the morning through to 11pm in the evening.
The seven-days-a-week Magic Morning schedule for Disney California Adventure will mean that it is impossible for guests without early-entry priviliges to experience the new $200 million Radiator Springs Racers attraction without waiting in line.
The opening of Cars Land marks the final phase of a $1.1 billion series of upgrades to Disney California Adventure. The expansion will be home to two other rides, along with a number of dining outlets and retail stores. These will be arranged along a recreation of Route 66, as seen in Pixar's Cars movies.
