Disneyland Paris has debuted its new night-time show, Disney Dreams, as the park's 20th anniversary celebrations get underway.
The opening performance of Disney Dreams was streamed live on YouTube on March 31, 2012, with VIP guests and members of the media enjoying spectacle at the park itself. Two further performances took place the next day, and daily shows are expected to continue in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle throughout the summer.
The castle is lit up in a variety of colours during performances of Disney Dreams, which borrows elements from the popular Fantasmic! and World of Color shows at Disney's US theme parks. A combination of projections, laser effects and powerful water fountains are used to create the visual effects in the show, which can be seen in the full-length video below:
Disney Dreams features scenes and music from classic Disney movies including Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Ratatouille, Aladdin, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, Tangled and The Princess and the Frog. It is the most significant new addition to Disneyland Paris for several years, and is designed to encourage guests to stay in the park for longer.
A new parade, Disney Magic on Parade!, will also debut at Disneyland Paris on March 26, 2012. It will include a number of all-new floats based around popular Disney movies such as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, as well as a spectacular finale featuring Mickey Mouse and friends.
