The Big Debate: Nemesis Sub-Terra or Ice Age 4-D for 2012 at Alton Towers?

Nemesis: Sub-Terra logo

In this week's poll, we ask which new Alton Towers attraction you think will really hit the mark in 2012. Will it be Nemesis Sub-Terra or Ice Age: The Dawn of the Dinosaurs 4D Experience?

The 2012 UK theme park season is about to kick off around the country and Alton Towers certainly appears to not be letting its fans down. The park is not only opening the much-hyped Nemesis Sub-Terra but is also launching Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs – The 4-D Experience, which will provide the centrepiece to a small new land based on the well known Dreamworks film. But which attraction are you most excited about?

Nemesis: Sub-Terra

Nemesis has long been one of Alton Towers' most popular rides, so the announcement of a second attraction based on the same theme has generated a lot of interest. Nemesis: Sub-Terra will see guests entering underground "catacombs", where they are likely to come face to face with the Nemesis alien. The ride is set to be a miniature drop tower, although its precise nature has yet to be revealed by the park. Do you dare ride it to find out for sure? Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for the terrifying alien's offspring!

Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs – The 4-D Experience

The Ice Age movies have proven to be very popular, and with Ice Age 4: Continental Drift due to debut this summer, what better time to base an attraction on the franchise? You may or may not be a fan of Scrat, Manny, Diego and Sid but surely for children, and for those adults who are just big kids at heart (of which I am definitely one!), a 4-D attraction can be nothing but a great addition. The small land that will surround the theatre will feature a shop packed full of Ice Age merchandise - sorry parents, there's no way you hard-earned cash will be staying in your wallets for long.
