In this week's poll, we ask whether you think a theme park land based on the popular Angry Birds game is a winning idea.
When Rovio launched Angry Birds for the iPhone in late 2009, surely the company had no idea just how quickly its creation would sweep the mobile gaming world, taking it by storm with downloads in the millions after just a few short months. Since then, numerous versions have been greeted eagerly by fans who just can't get enough of those crazy birds and annoying smug green pigs.
With news this week that Särkänniemi Adventure Park in Finland is to open a land themed around the Angry Birds phenomenon, it instantly transported me back to a time when my phone seemed to be permanently attached to my hand because I literally couldn't resist attempting "just one more level" on the fiendishly addictive game.
This week's Big Debate therefore asks the simple question: would you visit an Angry Birds theme park land? The park would need to be quite creative with the rides and attractions, and slingshotting different varieties of birds at pigs in person would surely have to be incorporated. Perhaps a variant on Disney's Toy Story Mania could be used successfully?
Whether you are an Angry Birds addict or a theme park fan looking for something different, would an Angry Birds theme park get your pulse racing?
