The Universal Orlando Resort has confirmed that an updated version of the popular Blue Man Group show will debut at its CityWalk entertainment area on February 24, 2012.
The show will feature revised sets, music and technology. New elements will include a set-piece involving enormous "GiPads", a sketch based around modern communication vehicles, and a re-imagined finale accompanied by an all-new score.
Much of the new material was demonstrated to members of the media on Thursday, February 16, with a comprehensive preview having subsequently been posted to Inside the Magic. This includes the overview video below, along with a host of other videos and photos.
The new Blue Man Group show consists of around 50 percent existing material, and 50 percent updated sections. The show has been out of action for several weeks in order to enable the new sets and effects to be installed.
CityWalk at Universal Orlando is an entertainment and retail district that also acts as entrance plaza between the resort's parking lots and its two theme parks. The area is set to welcome another new addition, Hollywood Drive-In Golf, later this month.
