Resorts World Sentosa, the home of Universal Studios Singapore, will open two new luxurious hotels on February 16, 2012.
The debuts of the Equarius Hotel and Beach Villas will bring the total number of hotels at the resort to six. Both are designed to offer guests views over a tropical rainforest and coastline, and will be marketed as "eco-luxurious" accommodation.
The Equarius Hotel will feature 172 rooms and is located close to a 2.9-hectare natural forest and 4,000 trees planted by Resorts World Sentosa. The 22 Beach Villas, meanwhile, will also have access to the hotel's gym, swimming pool and event pavilion. A new restaurant run by celebrity chef Sam Leong will be housed in a glass house located adjacent to the hotel's lobby.
The opening of the hotels brings Resorts World Sentosa closer to completion. The resort's headline attraction remains Universal Studios Singapore, a major theme park featuring 25 rides and attractions. Still to open are Marine Life Park (the world's largest oceanarium), a spa run by UK-based ESPA and a water park.
