Merry Christmas from Theme Park Tourist!

The editors of Theme Park Tourist would like to wish all of our readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

If you're heading to a theme park over the Christmas season, have a wonderful time and let us know whether the parks' holiday festivities live up to your expectations. If not, have a fantastic Christmas period and start planning those 2012 theme park trips!

2011 has been an excellent year for Theme Park Tourist, during which we've welcomed hundreds of thousands of new visitors to the site. We've also added three new writers to the team, enabling us to deliver news, previews and reviews from parks all over the world.

Some of the highlights included the opening of The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure, the long-awaited arrival of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue and the sleeper hit of the year - Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park.

We are very much looking forward to 2012 and have big plans for the site. Having added the ability for readers to rate and review attractions, restaurants and hotels this year, we'll be expanding our database to cover more than 80 parks all over the world. We're also planning a number of other exciting projects that will be announced ahead of the new season.

For those of you wondering what 2012 has in store for theme park fans, check out our New Attraction Watch to keep up to speed on all the latest new rides and shows.

Thanks for your support and see you all in 2012!
