Universal Studios Hollywood's CityWalk nighttime entertainment district has begun its Christmas 2011 celebrations, with an all-new holiday lights show included in the line-up.
The Holiday Lights Spectacular will take place every 20 minutes from 6pm - 9.40pm through December 31. It features a huge array of LED lights, which are choreographed with a festive musical soundtrack. Kids can also pose for photos with "Rockin' Santa" from 1-9pm.
An enormous Christmas tree forms part of the decorations at CityWalk during the holiday season. Admission to the area, which is located close to the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, is free.
Members of the U.S. Marine Corps. were on hand to illuminate the area for the first time in 2011, with the proceeds from the opening event being donated to the "Toys for Tots" charity.
