Transformers The Ride pre-show image

Videos of Transformers The Ride continue to leak out ahead of its official opening on December 3, 2011, at Universal Studios Singapore.

The latest footage includes an extensive walkthrough of the attractions's queue area, cafe and store, as well as a news report that shows off several key scenes from the ride itself. The simulator-style ride has been tested by Universal Studios Singapore employees during the last two weeks, as well as being "soft opened" to annual passholders.

The first video, posted by the Sentosa Theme Parks Blog, is an extensive tour of Transformers The Ride's queue. The waiting area for the new attraction is themed around a top-secret facility operated by the shadowy NEST organisation seen in the Transformers movie series.

The news report, meanwhile, offers the first glimpse of scenes of the Autobot heroes fighting the Decepticon villains. The plot, a natural follow-up to the Transformers movies, is told through a variety of simulator and 3D effects, with the attractions using a very similar ride system to The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure.

Universal Studios Hollywood is planning its own version of the new ride, which will be known as Transformers: The Ride - 3D. The US version is due to open in spring 2012.
