Alton Towers mansion

Alton Towers has confirmed its operating dates and opening hours for 2012, with the full season set to kick off on Saturday, March 24.

As in previous years, Alton Towers will also open from 10-4pm during the February half term week (which runs from February 11-19). For the remainder of the year, the park will open at 10am and close at at 5, 5.30 or 6pm, with hours likely to be extended through to 7pm during the school summer holidays.

Tickets for the February events will be priced at £19.80 for adults, and £12 for children. A select number of rides will be open during half term, with the park's two new additions for 2012 (Nemesis: What Lies Beneath and Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs – The 4-D Experience) both due to open on March 24, 2012.
