The President of Universal Studios has been quoted in an interview as saying that Harry Potter theme park attractions are in the works for the chain's parks outside of Orlando.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has proven to be a massive success at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure since its debut in 2010. This has led to speculation that versions of the land could be installed at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Japan or Universal Studios Singapore.
Asked if any additional Potter attractions were in the works by Movieline, Ron Meyer said simply: "Yes". No further details were revealed, leaving fans to speculate on where any new Harry Potter land might be located.
Universal Parks & Resorts has continued to benefit from the popularity of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The Orlando Sentinel reports that the unit's revenues climbed by 9.1 percent in 2011's third quarter, to $531 million. Profits rose to $285 million from $252 million in the same period last year.
