SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa are to bring back the popular Fun Card ticket promotion for the 2012 season, enabling Florida and Georgia residents to save money on repeat visits.
Both parks will offer local residents the chance to return as many times as they like during the 2012 calendar year, for a cost that is significantly lower than an annual pass. SeaWorld Orlando's 2012 Fun Cards are priced at $81.99, while Busch Gardens Tampa offers its own version for $79.99. A combined Fun Card that is valid at both parks costs $136.99.
The two parks had previously offered the Fun Card promotion for a number of years, but dropped it in June 2011. Local residents were then required to buy annual passes (which are valid for a full 365 days and include free parking), with prices beginning at $109.99.
The Fun Cards are now back on sale via the SeaWorld Orlando website and the Busch Gardens Tampa website. It is not known whether the promotion has been brought back due to declining attendance at the two parks, although a report by the Orlando Sentinel speculates that this could be the case.
