Dollywood has released two teaser videos that feature partial animations of the new Wild Eagle rollercoaster's circuit, ahead of the ride's debut in spring 2012.
The park will release a full video render of the ride's course during the next 48 hours. The short clips released so far offer a glimpse of the ride experience on Wild Eagle, which will be the first Bolliger & Mabillard Wing Rider coaster to open in the US. The ride is designed to emulate the experience of soaring through the skies like a bald eagle.
Riders on Wild Eagle will be suspended on either side of the track in a "winged" formation, hitting a top speed of 61 miles per hour as they traverse its 3,127-feet-long course. Four inversions will be included in Wild Eagle's circuit, including a giant loop, a "zero-G" roll and a giant flat spin. The ride will hit its top speed at the foot of the first drop, which will stand at 135-feet-tall.
