The talking Mickey Mouse character that was seen in testing at Disneyland last year has made his first appearance at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
As part of a "test", the talking Mickey greeted guests in the mouse's usual meet-and-greet location at the Town Square Theater. Only a limited number of visitors were able to meet the character, but Disney has released its first official video of him in action:
The talking Mickey Mouse was previously caught on camera during a test session at Disneyland in May 2010. He was also seen presenting on stage with Disney CEO Bob Iger at the premiere of the World of Color show at Disney California Adventure. He was last spotted greeting guests at Disneyland in March.
In the early years of Disneyland, characters frequently talked to guests. However, management eventually abolished the practice due to the Cast Members' inability to accurately mimic the character's "real" voices.
