The Big Debate: Will you be buying RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D?

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D logo

Many theme park fans spend a lifetime dreaming of building their perfect ride in their own perfect theme park. The RollerCoaster Tycoon games offer you a chance to live that dream by designing and building your own rollercoasters and amusement parks.

Many of you may be in the same position as me, having lost your husband/partner for hours and hours on end whilst they sat absorbed in front of their PC or Xbox playing one of the original games. With last week's announcement of an all-new version for the Nintendo 3DS, this week's Big Debate asks the question: "Will you be buying RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D when it is launched in 2012?".

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D is being released on the Nintendo's handheld console and will make use of the its unique "glasses-free" screen technology to add a new dimension to the gameplay. The game will focus on the design and management of amusement parks, including the ability for players to design their own rollercoasters, a must have for any theme park fan! With over 11 million copies of the previous versions of the game already sold RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D is likely to prove a massive success amongst gamers and coaster fans alike.

why arnt they making it for pc. I have been wating for the new RCT to come out and now almost every one who had RCT3 wont be able to play it !!!

I agree, it would have been great to have a new game for the PC.

I still think a handheld version is a great idea but I'd prefer both. By only bringing it out on the 3DS it does completely exclude all those people who don't own one.

As I don't have a Nintendo 3DS, I'm going to pass. However, it has been a long time since I've played rollercoaster tycoon and think I'm going to have to break out the PC version again!
