Princesses Pavilion to open at Disneyland Paris on October 8, 2011

Disneyland Paris Sleeping Beauty Castle

Disneyland Paris is reported to be ready to open a new meet-and-greet area, dubbed the Princesses Pavilion, on October 8, 2011.

Disney and More has posted concept artwork for the new addition to Fantasyland, which will replace the former post-show area of It's a Small World. Guests will be able to meet princesses from several Disney animated movies, including Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and Belle (Beauty and the Beast).

The medieval-themed pavilion will be designed to fit in with the architecture of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and will feature an extensive queuing area. This will include alcoves that host items that help tell the story of each princess, as well as stained glass windows depicting the castle that each one lives in.

While two princesses will occupy the pavilion at any one time, guests will only meet one of them and will not know in which one it will be. A Disneyland Paris photographer will be on hand to capture the moment, with guests able to buy prints at the Princess Pavilion shop. However, the use of personal cameras will also be permitted.

For full details of the Princesses Pavilion, see the report at Disney and More.
