Lightwater Valley will once again host its Frightwater Valley Halloween events on October 29-30, 2011, with a number of new attractions on offer this year.

Included in this year's Frightwater line-up is a new live action horror maze, Dracula's Labyrinth, which will feature a maze of tunnels that are said to be occupied by the evil Nosferatu. The attraction is aimed at older guests, with a minimum recommended age of 12.

Also new for 2011 is the Haunting of Skeleton Cove, which will be located in the new area of the park that opened in the spring. It will tell the story of a group of pirates battling over a locket which is claimed to grant eternal life.

The Raptor Attack rollercoaster will undergo a makeover during the Frightwater events to become Raptor Attack Live. It will tell the story of a scientific team that has been sent to investigate the discovery of a tar-like substance in the ride's mineshaft, who subsequently come under attack from Raptors.

For young guests, performances of a "Spooky UV Puppet Show" will take place throughout the afternoon. Guests of all ages will also be able to enjoy a special fireworks display, which will take place at 6.30pm on Saturday, October 29 and 5.30pm on Sunday, October 30.

The park will open late on both days, closing at 8pm on October 29 and 7pm on October 30. Full details of the Halloween events at Lightwater Valley can be found on the official Frightwater Valley website.
