It is that time of the year again when theme park fans eagerly await news of the up-and-coming rides for the new year. Six Flags has certainly not disappointed, unveiling new attractions for every single one of its parks in 2012. Whilst reading the article which outlined the different array of rides that will be installed as part of the plans, I couldn't help wondering which would capture fans' imaginations the most. It is therefore this subject that is the theme for our second "Big Debate" asking the question: which new Six Flags ride excites you most?
Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom at Six Flags Magic Mountain certainly seems to be a headliner and will carry the title of being the tallest and fastest drop tower in the world. Trying to imagine falling 415 feet at 85 miles an hour definitely got my heart racing. Some might say "well it is just a drop tower", so for true rollercoaster adrenaline junkies perhaps the X-Flight winged rollercoaster at Six Flags Great America with 3000 feet of twists, turns and inversions may be more up your street.
On the other hand you may shudder at the thought of freefalling for 5 seconds or being hurled around on a coaster until your stomach is in your mouth. If that is the case perhaps the SkyScreamer attractions spinning tower rides at Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Over Georgia are more to your liking. Or, if you are a water baby, the Alpine Freefalls at Six Flags Great Escape would surely get you running to grab your swimming gear with a spring in your step.Intrigued? With such a wide choice of rides and other attractions, Six Flags is certainly hoping to be a winner in the hearts of all theme park fans in 2012. Why not let us know which new Six Flags ride excites you the most by selecting your choice in our poll below.
