Universal Studios Florida's Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit rollercoaster will operate during the resort's Halloween Horror Nights 2011 events, the park has confirmed.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that the coaster will be open during the annual evening events for the first time since its August 2009 debut. It will be among a selection of headline attractions that remain open until late, alongside a range of temporary horror mazes, scare zones and shows.
Universal Orlando recently announced the full line-up for Halloween Horror Nights 2011, which will take place on selected dates between September 23 and October 31, 2011. Full details can be found on the official Halloween Horror Nights website.
Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit stretches out beyond the walls of the Universal Studios Florida park into Universal CityWalk. It features a 167-foot lift hill and top speeds of 65mph. Its most unique feature is the "double take" - a vertical loop in which the track twists so that the train is "right-side-up" at the top of the loop. Riders can select their own soundtrack for the ride from a selection of six genres.
