Tickets go on sale for Scarefest 2011 Halloween events at Alton Towers

Alton Towers has begun to sell tickets for the two horror mazes at its Scarefest 2011 Halloween events, with a combined ticket available for £12.

While several free Scarefest attractions are included with a standard admission ticket to Alton Towers, the Boiler House and Carnival of Screams mazes carry a separate charge. Tickets can be purchased on the day, but booking via the Alton Towers website enables guests to reserve a timeslot in advance. Half-hour slots are available between midday and 9.30pm each day.

The park has also revealed that a select group of annual passholders will be able to preview the two mazes between midday and 2pm on Saturday, October 15. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis at a 20% discount to the first 600 passholders to take up the offer.

Alton Towers recently announced the full line-up for the Scarefest 2011 events. While both The Boiler House and Carnival of Screams are returning from 2010, a new scare zone - ZOMBIES! - will make its debut this year.

Scarefest 2011 will run from October 15-31, and as in previous years will see Alton Towers staying open until 9pm every evening. Details of the other attractions at the events can be found in Theme Park Tourist's recent news story.

Theme Park Tourist will be attending Scarefest 2011 and will feature a review on the site shortly afterwards. You can read what we thought of last year's event in our Scarefest 2010 review.
