Fairies are now making appearances at a new meet-and-greet area at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, dubbed Tinker Bell's Magical Nook.
Located inside the Adventureland Veranda, the new area enables guests to meet Tinker Bell, Iridessa, Rosetta, Vidia, Fawn and Silvermist up-close. It opened on July 28, 2011, with the fairies having been temporarily stationed close to MouseGear at Epcot following the closure of their previous home in Mickey's Toontown earlier this year.
Tinker Bell's Magical Nook sees guests reduced to "fairy size", passing through a winding queue area before meeting two of the fairies. Inside the Magic captured the video below, which shows off the experience:
The fairies were originally due to play a major role in the expanded Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom, which will open in stages during 2012 and 2013. However, the Pixie Hollow area that was due to be centered around them has since been dropped from the plans.
Tinker Bell's Magical Nook will be the permanent new home of the Disney fairies. Further images of the new area can be found in Inside the Magic's detailed report?.
