A further extension has been announced to the ElecTRONica show's run at Disney California Adventure, with performances set to continue through Spring 2012.

The Disney Parks Blog confirmed the plan to retain the show, which has proven popular with guests at Disneyland's sister park. Inspired by Disney's Tron: Legacy movie, ElecTRONica will continue to take place during the evening in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot section of California Adventure.

ElecTRONica features music, live performances and interactive experiences, including the chance to play classic 1980s arcade games at a recreation of Flynn's Video Arcade. The show was originally due to run throughout December 2010, but has remained in place during the DVD and Blu-Ray release periods for the movie.

Disney is hosting a nightly tournament alongside the show, which sees guests racing light cycles in the TRON: Evolution video game. Each night's winner is pronounced a Grand Champion, and receives a copy of TRON: Legacy on Blu-Ray disc.
