The Cars meet-and-greet area at Disney's Hollywood Studios has been updated to coincide with the release of the sequel to the popular Pixar movie.
Guests are able to "meet" life-size versions of Cars 2 characters Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater in the area, which is located close to the MuppetVision 3D attraction. Examiner.com reports that the previous Luigi's Garage backdrop has now been updated to become Team McQueen Headquarters, to reflect the focus on racing in the new movie. The cars themselves have also received updated paintwork.
Versions of the cars have been touring the US for the past several weeks to promote Pixar's latest blockbuster, including the Finn McMissile character (who does not yet feature in the Disney's Hollywood Studios area). A video of the cars in action, posted to the Disney Parks Blog, is embedded below:
Cars 2 debuted at the top of the US box office after making $68 million during its opening weekend. It added a further $42.9 million overseas for a total of $110.9 million.
