Video: LEGOLAND Florida releases preview footage ahead of October 2011 debut

LEGOLAND Florida announcement image

LEGOLAND Florida has released a new preview video, which shows off some of the attractions that will feature in the park when it opens on October 15, 2011.

The video, embedded below, is hosted by General Manager Adrian Jones and features shots of several under-construction areas of the park. These are interspersed with footage of some of the attractions that will feature at LEGOLAND Florida, although most of this footage is actually of identical attractions at other LEGOLAND parks around the world.

Located on a 150-acre site in Winter Haven, LEGOLAND Florida will feature more than 50 rides, shows and attractions. The new park will be located on the site of Cypress Gardens, which was purchased by Merlin Entertainments Group for $22.3 million in January 2010. Several areas from the Cypress Gardens park will become part of LEGOLAND Florida, although all will be extensively rethemed and updated to suit the park's target audience of families with 2-12 year-old children.

You can find details of the lands that will make up the new park in Theme Park Tourist's recent overview over LEGOLAND Florida's attractions.

You can keep up to date with the latest confirmed and rumored opening dates for new attractions through Theme Park Tourist's "New Attraction Watch" section, and by signing up for our weekly newsletter.
