Kings Island is expected to announce a new dinosaur-themed attraction on Friday, March 18, after releasing a series of teaser videos.
The park says it will reveal a "major new attraction" in the announcement (which will take place at 2pm), stressing that the new addition will be "big" and will "change the landscape" at the park. Kings Island has released 3 teaser videos for the attraction, all of which are embedded below.
The final video shows a large model dinosaur being unloaded in the Kings Island car park, which has led to speculation that a walkthrough Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit could be on its way to the park. This would be similar to the travelling Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibits that have been seen at various locations across North America, but the park is yet to confirm this. It does, however, claim that the new attraction will be the "largest in the world of its kind" when it opens in the spring.
Kings Island has already announced one new ride for 2011, which will be one of four WindSeeker tower rides to open at Cedar Fair parks this summer. The chair-o-plane style attraction will be located in the Coney Mall area close to the exit of the Vortex rollercoaster, and will enable guests to see up to eighteen miles into the distance on a clear day.
