Universal Orlando is to hold an exclusive event for Annual Passholders in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the first such event to be held in the hugely popular land.

The event will take place on November 20, 2010 and is designed to coincide with the US debut of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie. A limited number of Premier and Preferred Annual Passholders will be able to enjoy after-hours access to the Wizarding World, with the event running from 8-10pm. All of the Wizarding World's rides will be in operation, including headline attraction Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

To attend the event, Passholders must pre-register via Universal Orlando's website, with places available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests must then check-in after 6pm at either the entrance of Islands of Adventure or at the courtyard near The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad Stunt Show (registration tables will be set up for this purpose). The park will close to regular guests at 8pm, after which the Wizarding World will remain open to registered Passholders.

Benefits for Passholders attending the event include:

  • Exclusive access to the Wizarding World's attractions - Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Flight of the Hippogriff and Dragon Challenge.
  • Access to the Three Broomsticks and Hogs Head pub dining locations, plus the many shops of Hogsmeade.
  • A free commemorative poster of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
  • The opportunity to buy an exclusive Annual Passholder pin and Gryffindor lanyard for $10.95 plus tax.

Full details of the Annual Passholder event can be found on the Universal Orlando website.
