Busch Gardens Tampa has released the fifth preview video for its planned new rollercoaster for 2011, showing off the ride's cheetah-themed trains for the first time.
As with the previous four videos, the latest clip shows a render of the on-ride experience of the new coaster. This includes a section of the coaster which swoops over the former Rhino Rally water section (which was removed earlier in 2010), and a glimpse of trains featuring cheetah-skin markings. The video can be accessed via BuschGardens2011.com, by entering the codeword "SPEED" into the fifth box at the bottom of the page.
Four previous preview videos have been released for the coaster, and have been spliced together by YouTube user Symmastia into the compilation below:
Leaked plans have suggested that the new rollercoaster will feature as many as three launch sections, and that it will be themed around cheetahs. The ride will cover a sprawling area, occupying most of the existing Edge of Africa land. Sections of the Serengeti Express train have already been rerouted to create room for the new addition, in addition to the shortening of Rhino Rally.
Theme Park Tourist will carry full details of the new coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa and the new saltwater reef at Discovery Cove following the official announcements from both parks later today.
