Busch Gardens Tampa coaster render

Busch Gardens Tampa and Discovery Cove will both officially announce details of new attractions for 2011 through their respective Facebook pages on the morning of October 13.

The announcement on Busch Gardens Tampa's Facebook page will confirm details of a multi-launch, cheetah-themed rollercoaster that is believed to be named Cheetaka. The park has already released four teaser videos showing off the on-ride experience for the new attraction, with a fifth expected to be released to coincide with the announcement.

Discovery Cove, meanwhile, is expected to confirm through its own Facebook page that it plans to open a new saltwater reef pool in 2011. The new pool will add to the line-up of attractions at the intimate park, which is located next to SeaWorld Orlando.

Both parks, owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, have opted to announce the new attractions through social media sites ahead of an official media announcement. The Facebook announcements will include video messages from the park's executives, with further details, images and videos being made available to the media later in the day.
