Busch Gardens Tampa has released a second teaser video for its planned new rollercoaster for 2011, showing off another section of the ride's circuit.
The video, embedded below, is similar to the first (released last week), in that it is a render of the on-ride experience of the new coaster. However, it appears to show a portion of the ride that is closer to end of its circuit. The video strengthens rumors that the ride, believed to be named Cheetaka, will be an Intamin launch coaster that will hug the ground closely for much of its duration.
The park released the video through its BuschGardens2011.com teaser website. To access it, visitors are required to enter the code word "RUSH", although it is also viewable on YouTube in unprotected form. A further two videos are due to be released in the build up to the official announcement of the new coaster in mid-October.
Leaked plans have suggested that the new rollercoaster will feature as many as three launch sections, and that it will be themed around cheetahs. The ride will cover a sprawling area, occupying most of the existing Edge of Africa land. Sections of the Serengeti Express train have already been rerouted to create room for the new addition, while the water section of Rhino Rally has also been closed to accommodate it.
Further reinforcing the likelihood of a cheetah theme and the Cheetaka name, another recent leak included concept art for the ride's station. Busch Gardens Tampa has also been advertising a Zoological Supervisor role which requires experience of working with cheetahs, with a new live animal exhibit set to be installed alongside the rollercoaster.
