Universal Orlando has begun selling merchandise from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter via its online store, enabling Potter fans to purchase items without making a trip to Islands of Adventure.
The Wizarding World section of Universal Orlando's online store offers a range of items that until now were only available from shops in the new land itself. These include home decorations, collectibles, toys, accessories, clothing and - most sought-after of all - wands from Ollivander's Wand Shop.
The online store is split into four sections, matching the stores at the park itself. These are Ollivander's, the Owl Post, Dervish and Banges and Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods. Not represented are Zonko's Joke Shop or the Honeydukes sweet shop.
Not all of the Wizarding World's hundreds of exclusive Harry Potter products are available online, with many remaining exclusive to Universal Orlando guests. All 13 unique wands that were created for Ollivander's can be purchased online, with the 12 character wands of the Noble Collection available from other online vendors (including The Noble Collection's website).
The launch of the online store comes at a time when the Wizarding World itself is struggling to maintain stock levels in the face of huge demand. Reports recently have suggested that Ollivander's and the Owl Post in particular have suffered from a shortage of wands at various times since the Wizarding World's opening day on June 18.
