A full video of the new World of Color show at Disney California Adventure has emerged online, along with the first review of the long-awaited nighttime spectacular.
The high-definition video was captured at a preview event for radio contest winners on Wednesday night by YouTube user bubbius2, and is embedded in three parts below. As revealed yesterday, Disney will also live stream World of Color's grand media event at 8.45pm PDT on Thursday, June 10.
The first review of the new addition to Disney California has also appeared online, on the LA Times travel blog. The review praises World of Color, claiming that it "just about" lives up to the hype that Disney has generated around it.
World of Color is Disney's most technically advanced show yet, and features powerful fountains, lighting arrays and fire effects, all synchronized with music from classic Disney movies. An enormous "wall of water" acts as a projection screen for animated video footage, some of which was produced especially for the show.
The nighttime spectacular will open to the public on Friday, June 11. Disney recently revealed details of how guests at California Adventure can ensure a good viewing spot for World of Color, with FASTPASSes being made available as soon as the park opens in the morning. The show will be performed twice nightly at the park at 9.15pm and 10.15pm from June 11 - August 29 (and less frequently beyond those dates) and is expected to prove extremely popular.
