The Orlando Attractions Magazine, which covers Central Florida's theme parks and attractions, is now available across the US in Barnes & Noble, Borders and Books-A-Million stores.
To date, the quarterly magazine has only been available through its website. However, it will now be on shelves priced at $5.99 in time to benefit from the inevitable surge in interest when the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens at Universal Orlando on June 18. Select stores in Canada and the UK will also stock the magazine.
Subscriptions to Orlando Attractions Magazine will continue be sold online, at a cost of $19.99 for 4 issues. Postage to US addresses is free, with Canadian subscribers paying $10 and those in countries further afield paying $25. There are also plans to offer online and Apple iPad-compatible versions of the magazine later this year.
Orlando Attractions Magazine features in-depth coverage of Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa along with a range of smaller attractions nearby. As well as photo spreads of recent events, it offers updates on the construction of new attractions and detailed looks at local restaurants.
Publisher and Editor Matt Roseboom said of the distribution deal: "It's been a long road, but we're glad to finally be able to offer the magazine at stores across the country. We hope a whole new set of fans will discover the magazine at their local bookstore. Through our comprehensive website and YouTube videos we've been able to reach Internet savvy theme park fans, but until now, it's been hard to get the word out to others."
