Walt Disney World has launched a new annual pass for Florida residents which allows access to the resort's theme parks on weekdays only.

The Florida Resident Weekday Select Pass allows access to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom on Mondays through Fridays. It is available for $169 from Disney's website - significantly less than the standard annual pass. However, the weekday pass does not include free parking and cannot be used during peak periods.

Block-out dates for the new pass are as below:

  • December 21, 2009 - January 3, 2010
  • March 29 - April 11, 2010
  • June 14 - August 19, 2010
  • December 20 - January 2, 2011

Standard Annual Passes cost $369 for Florida residents, with no block-out dates and free parking included. For $489, a Premium Annual Pass adds entry to the Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach water parks, plus Disney's Oak Trail Golf course.

Non-residents can pay $489 for an adult Annual Pass, or $619 for the Premium Annual Pass.
