The head of Disney's animation studios has revealed that a new attraction based on the Toy Story movies is coming to Walt Disney Studios in Paris.
The new attraction could form part of Toy Story Land, which is due to open in 2010. The story, published in Dutch newspaper "De Telegraaf", will inevitably lead to rumors that a version of the Toy Story Mania attraction will form part of the new area. The 3D interactive ride has already proved a huge hit at Disney's parks in California and Florida, and was recently confirmed as opening in 2011 at Tokyo DisneySea.
Toy Story Land is to be aimed at children, and feature a number of "kiddie" rides including a rollercoaster themed after RC Racer, a Slinky Dog-themed flat-ride, and "parachute drop tower" based on the Green Army Men from the movies. It will be located behind the Art of Disney animation building. A dark ride based on Ratatouille has also been rumored but reusing the technology developed for Toy Story Mania may be a more attractive proposition to the park's management.
