Space Mountain and Tomorrowland Transit authority are both now closed at Disney's Magic Kingdom until later this year.

The rides closed for refurbishment on April 19. As reported last week, Space Mountain is expected to reopen on November 25, with Tomorrowland Transit Authority set to be back in action by August 25. Both rides are closed to undergo refurbishment - with Space Mountain expected to undergo a complete replacement of its track, trains and sound system.

The news that the rides will reopen this year was a boost to anyone planning to visit Walt Disney World over the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays, following rumors that Space Mountain could stay closed until March next year. However, the actual reopening dates will depend on progress of the refurbishment of both rides.
