There are above-inflation increases in at-the-gate ticket prices at Alton Towers for 2009.

Adults will pay £36 (up from £34), while child tickets will cost £27 (up from £24). Family ticket prices are £100 for a family of four, £122 for a family of five, and £144 for a family of six. The price increases range from around 6% for adults to above 20% for a family of 5. The full price list can be found on the Alton Towers website.

Visitors to Alton Towers should rarely have to pay the gate price. Online prices from the website offer a significant discount, and two-for-one offers are regularly available. The Sun newspaper is currently offering a limited number of completely free tickets.

TPT's "special offer tracker" will help you find money-saving deals when it launches in the near future.
