"Mr. Lincoln" to return to Disneyland

The "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" show will return to Disneyland later this year.

The show, which originally ran in the Main Street Opera House at Disneyland from 1966 through 2004, will return in the same location in a new guise as "The Disneyland Story, featuring Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln". The move is designed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth.

"Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years", which replaced "Mr. Lincoln" in 2004, will stop showing on March 16, although there is no opening date for the new show as yet. "Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years" will still be viewable in the lobby area of the Opera House, along with the current display of Disneyland history and memorabilia.

Disney is also shuffling the locations of a couple of other features at the park. The Disney Gallery, a display of Disney artwork and collectibles, will move from its current location above Pirates of the Caribbean to the Bank of Main Street building next to the Opera House. The Annual Passport processing center which currently occupies the bank will move to the Plaza Pavilion, located near the entrance to Adventureland.
