The Jersey Devil Coaster reopened on July 16, after unexpectedly closing to guests a couple of weeks ago. This was a huge blow for those eager theme park fans that had made special trips to ride the new coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure.
The reason for the sudden closure came to light when a spokesperson from Six Flags Great Adventure responded to a tweet from a guest on July 10, saying “As a proactive measure, the manufacturer of Jersey Devil Coaster RMC, has paused operation on two of their second generation single-rail coasters for a full inspection. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to reopen the ride soon.”
It was then confirmed by the park on July 13, that the inspection was nearly complete and testing would begin soon. Keen guests have been able to enjoy The Jersey Devil Coaster again since it reopened on July 16 after the successful inspection and necessary testing.
One Theme Park Tourist reader commented saying “I just rode it today July 16th. The track is fast, smooth and full of unexpected steep drops and turns. Loved it!” So everything looks back on track for The Jersey Devil Coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure which is great to hear.
We are hoping that there will be good news regarding the reopening of El Toro soon. We will keep you up to date on our News and Facebook page.
